  Shopping

No matter what the weather may bring Shopping is always fun. Helen's Main street has a wide variety of shops and Betty's. Betty's Country Store is The grocery store in Helen with a bakery and deli. There is a whole section of nostalgic candy but our absolute favorite is Betty's Bean Salsa. Try a free sample and see why we like it so much.

Just south of Helen on HWY 75 is Nacoochee Village. Nora Mills is an actual working grist mill. If you like pancakes or biscuits they have the mix for you. Check out Nacoochee Village's website for the other shops there.

If you head south from Nacoochee Village turn onto HWY 17 at the Indian Mound and follow it to Sautee Junction (HWY 17 and HWY 255). Stop by and check out Greenstone Soap's website. Their all natural gardeners soap is a terrific product - it works well on greasy hands too. Choose your favorite soap from the many kinds. The Old Sautee Store website just across the street is well worth a visit. It's little shop with the sod roof has been there for a long time. Some other cool places to visit are Mark of the potter, The willow Pottery, The Gourd Place and Yonah Treasures.Mark of the Potter website. The Willows PotteryThe Willows Pottery website.
